St. Paul Ev.\u00a0Lutheran Preschool in Tomah, Wisconsin,\u00a0is starting a Summer Program for children ages 3-5. The program will run 11 weeks, from\u00a0<\/span>June 5 – August 18<\/span><\/span>. To help staff this program, St. Paul Lutheran Preschool is looking to hire an Afternoon Lead Teacher with a passion for sharing Christ’s love with young children and experience managing a classroom of preschool children. Hours of work\u00a0are from\u00a011:00 AM until 5:30 PM<\/span><\/span>, Monday through\u00a0<\/span>Friday<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0Starting pay is $10.00\/hour,\u00a0with wage being determined during hire.\u00a0Housing\u00a0is available. St. Paul Preschool Summer Program \u2013 Afternoon Lead Teacher<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Qualifications<\/div>\n
A. Member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church or another WELS church<\/div>\n
B. Age 18 years or older<\/div>\n
C. High school diploma or GED required<\/div>\n
D. At least 6 months experience in a classroom or child care setting preferred<\/div>\n
E. Displays a love for our Savior and sharing the message of salvation<\/div>\n
F. Love and patience for working with children ages 3-5<\/div>\n
G. Able to manage and run an early childhood classroom<\/div>\n
H. Able to plan and carry through lessons and activities<\/div>\n
I. Musical ability to lead children in song<\/div>\n
J. In good health – able to physically keep up with young children and interact at their level<\/div>\n
K. Dedication<\/div>\n
L. Confidentiality<\/div>\n
M. Takes initiative<\/div>\n
N. Able to relate to and communicate well with children, parents, and staff<\/div>\n

This is a summer position running 11 weeks (June 5-August 18) reviewed annually by the<\/div>\n
Ministry of Education.<\/div>\n

Times<\/div>\n
The Afternoon Lead Teacher works Mondays through Fridays from 11:00 AM until 5:30<\/div>\n
PM, or until all children have been picked up and cleaning duties have been completed. The<\/div>\n
Afternoon Lead Teacher may also be asked to fill in as a substitute from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM in<\/div>\n
the event that the Morning Lead Teacher is gone. The Lead Teacher position is an hourly<\/div>\n
employment position.<\/div>\n

Duties<\/div>\n
A. Advance the ministry of early childhood in line with God\u2019s Word<\/div>\n
B. Be responsible for children\u2019s learning and safety<\/div>\n
C. Plan and lead activities appropriate for preschool children<\/div>\n
D. Follow the routines and management plans set up by the Director of the program<\/div>\n
E. Apply Law and Gospel correctly when disciplining children<\/div>\n
F. Keep the classroom clean and orderly<\/div>\n
G. Supervise and interact with children during lunch and snack times<\/div>\n
H. Communicate with families at the end of the day during pick-up times<\/div>\n
I. Work in partnership with a Teacher Aide<\/div>\n
J. Maintain open and consistent communication with the Director of the program<\/div>\n
K.
